Hatshepsut was a powerful pharaoh who reigned in Thebes during the New Kingdom in Egypt at about 1500 B.C. She reigned over Egypt with her stepson Thutmos II. She was one of the pharaohs who developed the large scale tomb project of the Valley of the Kings. This work is a tribute to great women who set high goals for themselves. This work is an encaustic mixed media collage on wood, 12″ x 12″ X 3/4″.
