Canadian musician who played with the Tommy Dorsey orchestra and travelled throughout Canada and the United States playing the piano and composing. She married and her husband passed away in hospital prompting her to write ‘I’ll Never Smile Again’. This song sent the Young Frank Sinatra to attention on the pop charts and starting his larger than life career. Very few know of her work and the contribution she made to Canadian music. This work is a tribute to great women who set high goals for themselves. This work is an encaustic mixed media collage on wood, 12″ x 12″ X 3/4″.
