The Pontiac Artists’ Association (also known as artPontiac) is a registered not-for-profit association that oversees the various activities of its members, including the Pontiac Artists’ Studio Tour, the Pontiac School of the Arts, the Artists’ Residency Project, and events and exhibitions at the Stone School Gallery. Since 1990, the Association has been promoting arts and culture and enriching the cultural life of the Pontiac. To this end, the Pontiac Artists’ Association (PAA) dedicates its efforts to local cultural development, the training of its members and the promotion of the artists of the Pontiac as well as the promotion of their works.
The Stone School Gallery is the site of the Pontiac Artists’ Association. Located in the picturesque community of Portage-du-Fort, Quebec, this former village school has hosted exhibitions, an art school and cultural events for 13 years. The annual programming includes exhibitions covering a wide range of styles and mediums and welcomes professionals from regional, national, and international levels.
Located at the entrance to Pontiac County, along the Ottawa River, the Stone School Gallery is a prime location to serve the Pontiac and the surrounding areas of Ontario; Renfrew County and the city of Ottawa.
