This work is part of a series of 12 works the subject being women of importance to today and yesterday. This work is an interpretation of an imagined likeness of a young Cree woman in the 17th Century who worked in the Northern outposts of the Hudson Bay Company, Canada. She was caught in the middle of great conflict and worked throughout her life to build bridges between First Nation bands using her Language skills and diplomacy. It is an encaustic mixed media collage 12″ x 12″ x 3/4″ priced at $295.
